Phuket Island
Phuket is the biggest and the most visited island in Thailand. It is situated only 2 hour-sail by boat from Ko Lanta or 4 hour-drive by car. You should spend at lest 2 days here. Patong, the bustling centre of Phuket, is 5 km.long beach with plenty of restaurants, hotels of all categories and department stores. Phuket has an international airport where daily operate German airlines Air Berlin and Condor.
Phuket has an easy boat connection to Ko Lanta and Krabi, boats leave twice a day from Russada Pier port at Puket Town. Ticket costs 700 THB/day with 10 min stopover at Phi Phi Islands. There are interesting trips to the mountaineous inland of Phuket and to the surrounding islands Similana Islands, James Bond Island, Kao Lak, Kao Sok national park. However, Puket has also calm places where you can relax – Patong Beach, Karon Beach, Kata Beach, Nai Harn Beach.
